On 30 March 2010 R. Kelly is coming to Holland to give away a concert in Amsterdam, at the Heineken Music Hall.
R. Kelly is one of the most successful and popular artists from the past ten years. But his breakthrough is already 18 years ago now. It is harder to stay on the top, then to get there, nevertheless Kelly is doing it well now for a lot of years, so we can say he is a real top artist.
Worldwide Kelly has already sold millions of albums, won many prices and he even won several Grammy Awards. He is also known as ‘King of R&B’. To be honest, the last years we did not hear that much from Kelly, but now he is back again. Last November he brought out a new album called ‘Untitled’. So there is reason enough to buy your tickets for this great concert on March 30!

R. Kelly general information
R. Kelly grew up as Robert Sylvester Kelly in the tough environment in the poor areas in Chicago. In his young days, music already is his number 1 way to escape from his environment. His music teacher already notices on a young age that he has got a lot of musical talent and she predicts a great future for him.
In 1992 Kelly produces together with his band ‘Public Announcement’ their debute album ‘Born Into The 90’s’. And in 1993 he makes his first solo record called 12play. This album became a huge success en had some major hits on it like ‘Bump ’n Grind and Your Body’s Callin. In the years that follow Kelly keeps scoring hits with ‘I believe I can fly’ and of course the duet with Celine Dion ‘I’m Your Angel’.
He is also successful as a producer and songwriter, he even worked on Michael Jackson’s hit ‘You’re Not Alone’.
